Jakarta - Police have dismantled a package containing pipe and suspicious plastic bag sent to a girl in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The package contained CD of South Korean boyband, Super Junior.

“So, it was suspected that the package contained calendar and CD. Recipient never felt like ordering the package herself,” Jatinegara Police Chief Commander Dasril said in his office, Thursday (10/09/2014).

The package is now at the Jatinegara police office. The contents of the package itself consist of 2 pieces of the boyband’s CDs and also one book that was inserted into a red plastic bag. While 2 pieces of posters were rolled and inserted into a pipe that measures approximately 30 cm, wrapped in black tape, and fused with box wrapped in a red colored plastic.

This happened in Erina’s house on Jl. Pulo RT 10/12, North Cipinang Besar, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday (10/09/2015). Initially, there was a man who claimed to be a courier delivering the package.

In the package, it was not clear who sent it. There was only a phone number that was later found out to be unregistered. But the address was very clear, namely to Erina’s daughter, Aryani Delanita (24), who lives in the house.

“When I called my daughter, she said: No mom, I never felt like purchasing nor receiving any package,” Erina said.

For fear that the package contains a bomb, Erina immediately asked neighbors for help. The neighbors who heard the news then went into an uproar. Until finally, the chief of local hamlet reported it to the police.

Oh my gosh. This has got to be the most strangely and ironically ludicrous news I’ve ever read. I almost choked on my dinner when I saw news ticker have Super Junior’s name and the word ‘bomb’ in one sentence. Terrorism is a huge deal the world has been fighting against for decades, our country too has quite a history of bomb attacks as well as counter-terrorism operations. Nobody here will and shall ever take any issue related to it lightly, and as a consequence, such issue is bound to hit the headlines in no time.

I honestly feel bad for laughing at it, the daughter must’ve had major facepalm moment realizing her one minor lie has brought her this wacky plot twist. Poor girl bought her favorite band’s new album surreptitiously behind her mother’s back, only to end up making nationwide waves and getting her name exposed by the press. orz On the brighter note, we’ve learned a good lesson from all this, haven’t we? Dont lie.

Also, some people might find it ‘underwhelming’ for such huge coverage and call the mother extra, but bear in mind that it could’ve been one of the most terrifying moments in her life. Don’t be rude, guys. Mrs. Erina technically is not wrong, though. Those boys on the poster, album cover and photocard are ‘bomb.’

Pet Peeves
August 24, 20130 Comments
When surfing this noon, I accidentally figured this post out and felt like getting an idea to make similar post sorting things that annoy me out. Who knows we happen to be sharing similar peeves?

1. People with dominant personality

Like what’s written in this article, dominant people like controlling or bossing others around. I’ve been in some  internal conflict due to being in the same groups as these kind of people. They shoved their ideas down people’s throats and blocked others’ ideas or opinions. Then after people were fed up and decided not to participate actively (or completely bowed out) in the group discussion anymore, they’d go ‘Why the hell am I the only one working on this Goddamn group project?’ LMFAO, ’cause you are!

2. Absence of “Thank you

If one comes to others only when they need a help or something, that’s understandable. Because without you even realizing, you must’ve ever once in a lifetime, asked for or borrowed something from someone you barely even talked to. But what if they did so and never said anything in return? Not that we’re needy of gratitude or anything, that is simply a basic manner anyway. If someone helps you, gives you something, or is simply being nice to you, you have got to acknowledge it and show some appreciation, right? Unless you are a dothraki. LOL Learn from the Japanese, they always politely say thank you and simultaneously feel sorry after someone does them a favor.
わざわざ どうも すみません。
“Thank you very much for going out of your way for me.”

3. Overuse of the word Swag

I saw the word floating around A LOT across the internet. And whenever I see it, I just can’t hold the urge to punch someone tell the posters to pack it in. Nobody might verbally forbid you to use this S word, but if you use it too excessively, people wouldn’t only be sick of it—but also of you. Use it on every single one of your twitter, facebook, or instagram updates and be ready of your friends or followers mass-blocking you.

4. Impatient road users and their exasperating honking

Last but not least. It’s getting on my nerves whenever any car drivers or motorbike riders constantly honk their horns impatiently. It’s noise pollution, in case you don’t know. At the beginning, I thought they really were in a hurry that they kept on honking to make other road users make way for them. But then I saw them driving back in normal speed again not too soon after overtaking us, then I thought, “why did you honk like that bladder’s about to burst from dying for a pee?” We weren’t even driving that slowly! Sometimes, the other side of the road was still empty and harmless to pass, but they still had to be greedy. Next time this happens, I’ll make sure to casually turn toward them with a solid poker face as my vehicle passes them by at stop lights.

5. Rude jokes

People like rude jokes, what an irony of society. When Stand-Up comics and random people poke fun at others’ physical appearances, accents, or even races (which is disgusting!!!), the audiences laugh and shed a tear. People find ‘sugarcoated’ body or slut shaming delivered through jokes—hilarious. We think that it’s okay to turn someone into an object of ridicule as long as it’s a quip, but how do we know that they are okay? Who knows if they hurt inside? Try walking in their shoes before making those discourteous remarks, ask yourself how it’s gonna feel to be treated the way they are. Or else, watch yourself getting a taste of your own medicine later.

6. Social leveling

Ugh, I hate this the most. Just stop, can’t we? We’re all same, we’re equal, but some people are acting like they’re on different level or class, what the hell? We’re not living in post-classical era, this is fcking 21st century for God’s sake. We should no longer be divided into castes. There are countries with conservative societies that still apply this system in daily life. But you know, even open-minded people in modern societies these days have created a new kind of social leveling with their terminology: “a wall you can’t climb over” and “(name) is definitely on different class.” What wall? *eyerolls* Get off that high horse of yours, please.

So, what are your pet peeves?

*scratches head awkwardly*

*clears throat*

Ummm, hello! Welcome to my blog, dear anyone who deliberately comes here, though it sounds too unlikely to happen, or anyone who has wound up here in the wrong blog just because I use the same keyword(s) you’re looking up! Oops, sorry. I hope you’ll find the site you want. But since you’re already here, why don’t you have a look around the blog for a while? I may have some substantial stuff you need, among the other trivial ones. :D

In the beginning, I wasn’t sure if I should write a greeting post or just go setting out with an actual one to celebrate the launch of this blog.  In the end, I did it since I guess it’d be nice to say hi to people who technically just wasted their time having a look around my mess. Frankly speaking, I’m surprised that someone really pays a visit and comes to read this very post. Never-ending thank you for all of you who do! I’m truly sorry that by the time you drop by, it is still one train wreck of a blog, as I’ve got no time to spruce it up yet.

Okay, without further ado, here goes. I am Yasmin, 14 years old, living in one of the most populous towns Indonesia has to offer. HAHA I go to a public vocational high school, and now a freshman of the Accounting department. About the backstory of the blog, it was born thanks to my friend whose friend was a cool kid in her former school and running a cool blog. She was the main inspiration, although I am clearly not as cool. Also, thanks to our IT teacher who, after explaining his teaching materials, freed us to do anything whilst waiting for his time in our class to run out. During the leisure, using my notebook, my friend and I signed up for blogger.

It took quite a long time for mine, ‘cause the names I wanted as handle/url were all taken already. Only after trying out names from the super generic to super tacky ones, I got this one available. YAY. It’s not my first try on the platform, though. I created another one too in middle school, for an IT class individual assignment. I’m sure it still exists somewhere lol, but is pretty much dead since I no longer recall anything related to it. All I know is everything about it screams Death Note (I was so obsessed over the manga in the past, but still is an ardent fan), and the background is a cute fanart of teensy-weensy Light Yagami and L.

Back to the present day, I cannot reveal the theme of this blog just yet. It’s a surprise, so please do look forward to it! [readers throw me off a cliff] No, no, kidding. I for real still have no clear vision of what this blog will be about. I still need to make up my mind and get it together, to be honest. I suck at writing poems and fictions, I never wear makeup thus can’t do reviews, and I don’t travel that often to blog about my journeys. I guess I’ll write about everyday life and others (?). Hopefully they won’t bore you to tears like how this one post does. :/

Now, about the language. As much as I love my first language, I’m gonna use English the whole time. Except for the times this int’l language just can’t cut it, if that’s the case, I’ll get the point across in my mother tongue. English as a language and literature always interests me a great deal, however, I barely use it the tad bit in real life conversations. I only do when talking to online friends, since the majority of them are foreigners. And thus, my blogging can also work as a way to practice and improve my English skill. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. *winks*

Whoops, it’s getting longer than expected. Gotta halt it here, before I start blabbing random gibberish. Thank you for the time you took out of your precious 24 hours, to read this blog and I wish you’d like the goods I have in store. Straight up tell me if I do something wrong or if you think I need to step up my blogging game. Lastly though, with me returning back to blogging, please pray for it to persist in long term and for the blog to never again be abandoned. HAHA Catch you later!
