Starting Over

*clears throat*

Ummm, hello! Welcome to my blog, dear anyone who deliberately comes here, though it sounds too unlikely to happen, or anyone who has wound up here in the wrong blog just because I use the same keyword(s) you’re looking up! Oops, sorry. I hope you’ll find the site you want. But since you’re already here, why don’t you have a look around the blog for a while? I may have some substantial stuff you need, among the other trivial ones. :D

In the beginning, I wasn’t sure if I should write a greeting post or just go setting out with an actual one to celebrate the launch of this blog.  In the end, I did it since I guess it’d be nice to say hi to people who technically just wasted their time having a look around my mess. Frankly speaking, I’m surprised that someone really pays a visit and comes to read this very post. Never-ending thank you for all of you who do! I’m truly sorry that by the time you drop by, it is still one train wreck of a blog, as I’ve got no time to spruce it up yet.

Okay, without further ado, here goes. I am Yasmin, 14 years old, living in one of the most populous towns Indonesia has to offer. HAHA I go to a public vocational high school, and now a freshman of the Accounting department. About the backstory of the blog, it was born thanks to my friend whose friend was a cool kid in her former school and running a cool blog. She was the main inspiration, although I am clearly not as cool. Also, thanks to our IT teacher who, after explaining his teaching materials, freed us to do anything whilst waiting for his time in our class to run out. During the leisure, using my notebook, my friend and I signed up for blogger.

It took quite a long time for mine, ‘cause the names I wanted as handle/url were all taken already. Only after trying out names from the super generic to super tacky ones, I got this one available. YAY. It’s not my first try on the platform, though. I created another one too in middle school, for an IT class individual assignment. I’m sure it still exists somewhere lol, but is pretty much dead since I no longer recall anything related to it. All I know is everything about it screams Death Note (I was so obsessed over the manga in the past, but still is an ardent fan), and the background is a cute fanart of teensy-weensy Light Yagami and L.

Back to the present day, I cannot reveal the theme of this blog just yet. It’s a surprise, so please do look forward to it! [readers throw me off a cliff] No, no, kidding. I for real still have no clear vision of what this blog will be about. I still need to make up my mind and get it together, to be honest. I suck at writing poems and fictions, I never wear makeup thus can’t do reviews, and I don’t travel that often to blog about my journeys. I guess I’ll write about everyday life and others (?). Hopefully they won’t bore you to tears like how this one post does. :/

Now, about the language. As much as I love my first language, I’m gonna use English the whole time. Except for the times this int’l language just can’t cut it, if that’s the case, I’ll get the point across in my mother tongue. English as a language and literature always interests me a great deal, however, I barely use it the tad bit in real life conversations. I only do when talking to online friends, since the majority of them are foreigners. And thus, my blogging can also work as a way to practice and improve my English skill. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. *winks*

Whoops, it’s getting longer than expected. Gotta halt it here, before I start blabbing random gibberish. Thank you for the time you took out of your precious 24 hours, to read this blog and I wish you’d like the goods I have in store. Straight up tell me if I do something wrong or if you think I need to step up my blogging game. Lastly though, with me returning back to blogging, please pray for it to persist in long term and for the blog to never again be abandoned. HAHA Catch you later!
