Package Suspected as Bomb in Jatinegara Contains Boyband Super Junior’s Poster

Jakarta - Police have dismantled a package containing pipe and suspicious plastic bag sent to a girl in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The package contained CD of South Korean boyband, Super Junior.
Jakarta - Police have dismantled a package containing pipe and suspicious plastic bag sent to a girl in Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The package contained CD of South Korean boyband, Super Junior.
“So, it was suspected that the package contained calendar and CD. Recipient never felt like ordering the package herself,” Jatinegara Police Chief Commander Dasril said in his office, Thursday (10/09/2014).
The package is now at the Jatinegara police office. The contents of the package itself consist of 2 pieces of the boyband’s CDs and also one book that was inserted into a red plastic bag. While 2 pieces of posters were rolled and inserted into a pipe that measures approximately 30 cm, wrapped in black tape, and fused with box wrapped in a red colored plastic.
This happened in Erina’s house on Jl. Pulo RT 10/12, North Cipinang Besar, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday (10/09/2015). Initially, there was a man who claimed to be a courier delivering the package.
In the package, it was not clear who sent it. There was only a phone number that was later found out to be unregistered. But the address was very clear, namely to Erina’s daughter, Aryani Delanita (24), who lives in the house.
“When I called my daughter, she said: No mom, I never felt like purchasing nor receiving any package,” Erina said.
For fear that the package contains a bomb, Erina immediately asked neighbors for help. The neighbors who heard the news then went into an uproar. Until finally, the chief of local hamlet reported it to the police.

Oh my gosh. This has got to be the most strangely and ironically ludicrous news I’ve ever read. I almost choked on my dinner when I saw news ticker have Super Junior’s name and the word ‘bomb’ in one sentence. Terrorism is a huge deal the world has been fighting against for decades, our country too has quite a history of bomb attacks as well as counter-terrorism operations. Nobody here will and shall ever take any issue related to it lightly, and as a consequence, such issue is bound to hit the headlines in no time.
I honestly feel bad for laughing at it, the daughter must’ve had major facepalm moment realizing her one minor lie has brought her this wacky plot twist. Poor girl bought her favorite band’s new album surreptitiously behind her mother’s back, only to end up making nationwide waves and getting her name exposed by the press. orz On the brighter note, we’ve learned a good lesson from all this, haven’t we? Don’t lie.
Also, some people might find it ‘underwhelming’ for such huge coverage and call the mother extra, but bear in mind that it could’ve been one of the most terrifying moments in her life. Don’t be rude, guys. Mrs. Erina technically is not wrong, though. Those boys on the poster, album cover and photocard are ‘bomb.’
